Discovery's annual celebration of sharks has arrived. Our week-long marathon of scintillating shark programming begins Sunday July 30, with specials premiering at 9 p.m. ET daily through August 4.
Dirty Jobs' own Mike Rowe will host this year's event, which kicks off with his two-hour special "Dirty Jobs: Jobs That Bite." The night concludes with the one-hour special "Dirty Jobs: Jobs That Bite Harder." Both programs will be available on DVD soon.
Check out these fun facts about the gigantic, inflatable Great White that invaded Discovery headquarters (pictured above):
- It's 446 feet long, 200 feet wide, and 112 feet tall
- It has the correct proportions of a Great White Shark
- It took 6.65 miles of fabric to create the inflatable fish
- And 36.7 miles of thread to sew him together
- If it were real, the shark would weight about 84,000 pounds
Get in the "biting" spirit with the latest DVD releases and cool classics, plus a unique selection of shark toys. Here are my top picks:
- MythBusters: Jaws Special DVD
- Shark’s Revenge Slide: Available Saturday. Hurry, limited quantities!
- Radio-Controlled Robotic Shark
- Primal Scream DVD
- Jaws of the Pacific DVD
Have fun shopping!

Hi everyone,
I believe that something you can actually wear, like a watch or something you use everyday and always carry with you like a cell phone, perfume, a office table clock, an Ipod, a handbag, or a digital camera, is the most personal way to be remembered by the one you want to offer something to.
Every time that person will look at herself in the mirror or will use that something you have given her, she will think of you with gratitude and appreciation !
Summer sales are on on many web sites.
I have found an online department store called www.littlegiftideas.com. They have a variety of branded items including perfumes, watches, designers' sunglasses, digital cameras, cell phones and hundreds of other great gifts starting at 3$ up to 5000$.
All items are sold at DEEP discounts if compared to the suggested retail prices.
If you dig a bit you will even find some that go for 80% off the usual retail price.
At the moment they have a summer sale on and they offer an additional 10% OFF their usual prices on most products.
I believe it is worth a visit since they have plenty of great opportunities for you to offer branded items in big demand at very affordable prices.
